This collection is divided into two parts: the Skull Collection and the Skeleton Group. Both stem from my personal reflections on mortality and the anxiety I feel as a human, grappling with the connections we share—or the harm we unintentionally cause—on a global scale. The skeletons represent life in its most basic form, stripped of gender, race, class, sexual orientation, or any other distinctions that create division among people. The simple black lines are intentional—powerful yet minimalist—while the everyday activities of the skeletons reflect the simplicity and beauty of human existence.
The Skull Collection emerged from my desire to push beyond the traditional portrayal of human skulls, challenging myself to explore new dimensions of expression. I find joy in capturing the intricate details of bone structure, but I also love infusing each piece with whimsy and color, softening the starkness of the subject matter. For me, the skulls evoke a sense of peace and comfort, a reminder of our shared humanity in the face of life’s impermanence.
